Continence Service from Gippsland Southern Health – Dianne Jones 

 

3rd Thursday of the Month from 9am

Dianne is a specialist continence advisor. The role of Continence Advisor is to assist all people who experience incontinence and provide assistance to their carers. Most incontinence problems can be treated, improved or managed. What is incontinence? Incontinence is the involuntary loss of urine from the bladder or contents from the bowel. 1 in 20 Australians suffer incontinence. Bed wetting is common in children and teenagers causing stress and embarrassment. Help is available and people need not suffer in silence.

 

Services provided include: 

  • Information and Guidance;

  • Management and Advice;

  • Practical Support;

  • Education to the individual, caregivers, health professionals and the community.

  • Pelvic floor muscle education: 

    • Pre/post Radical Prostatectomy

    • Pre/post Natal.
